That suicide thing is rubbish. A typical knee-jerk reaction by his mum backed up by no evidence whatsoever. This harms less people than alcohol and tobacco, but we don't call for off-licences to shut down, do we?

Salvia was virtually unknown and unused before these heavily biased stories were published about it, how many 'kids' have tried it now then...? I have tried it, I wouldn't again... I've still got half of the bag left from 2 years ago. It was a bit too surreal for my liking, with effects somewhere between short-acting (20 mins) psilocybe mushrooms and 5-MeO-DMT.

Ridiculous! Salvia has absolutely NO negative side effects, that's why it's legal! It's been researched by the US Gov't for over 10 years and they have never found any negative side effects. Salvia Divinorum has huge medicinal potential, especially in Alzheimer's patients. Enough with the scare tactics! BAN THIS NOW!!! I did salvia through a bong! I hallucinated very badley. It has left me very paranoid. With bad memorys. This is not fit for anyone to take this. God forbid giving it to a child. This is nasty stuff!

I agree with John Clarke. The real killers and anti social drugs in this country are alcohol and tobacco, but of course the government won't ban these as they are high earners. The facts, one possible death due to salvia while tobacco causes almost 5 million deaths a year (globaly) alone!

In the ONE case of suicide it was tenuously linked to, the person consumed it four months prior to their death. Most anti-depressants have greater suicide concern than this salvia stuff.

I dont think it should be banded as its been around for so long!! i think that about everything the government ban after so many years i think its stupid but that my opinion.
