I was in Kate's year at High School, and although we were never specifically friends, I am shocked by her untimely death. I didn't know her well, but would like to offer my condolences to her family and friends. It reminds you that life is so short and so precious. Kate touched so many hearts and lives at Holywells, staff and children alike. She was a real friend. We are all struggling to come to terms with her passing. For someone so young Kate achieved so much inspiring, encouraging, and influencing so many. Our hearts go out to Kate's parents and sister. God bless.

Kate was my art teacher for three years at Holywells High school, we may have had our ups and downs at times, but if i ever needed someone to talk to when i was upset Kate was always there for me, Miss Talmadge you were a great teacher and i will miss you dearly, it was you who taught me how to unlock my full art potential i just wish i had when i was still there. I have many happy memories of Kate from my childhood. I remember the way she used to make me laugh when Rachel looked after us after school (Cliff Lane). She and my brother Tim used to make all sorts of funny comments about people at school when we watched TV at your house. These fond memories will never diminish and my thoughts are with you all.
