Re: shamrock avenue

Hi ... I lived at 45 Shamrock from 1952 till 1967 but my parents lived there till 1973. The family name is Curtis. I now live in Sydney Australia but return every 18 months and usually drive down Shamrock Ave to see the old street and my old home. Great street to grow up in during those times. Sorry I didnt live there in the time you are looking for but just could not resist answering when I saw Shamrock Ave. Good luck in your search.
regards
Brian Curtis

Re: shamrock avenue

As kids we played in the woods behind shamrock ave...remember the big conker tree near the footpath that took you to lavender hill shops and trefoil close? Remember the slope down to aster road, we used to slide down on anything that was going in the winter months..polythene,dustbin lids etc, Good innocent fun !

I remember Sonja, Michael Blowers,Steve Crane who sadly passed away.......Mark Wakeling,Peter Higgins, and in the small cul-de-sac lived Denis Tricker and Nigel Southern.

Those were great days.
